General Election 2017
As we are sure you are aware, Gray’s Farm Primary is used as a polling station and very recently, a general election was called. We have been looking at all alternatives, but based on the views of parents and carers, we have today made the difficult decision to close the school to the children on this day. Therefore, school will be closed on Thursday the 8th June 2017.
Please find an extract from the letter we received:
‘I understand that this may cause a great deal of inconvenience, especially due to the short noticeand timings involved, but unfortunately we did not have any advance notice of the date and were only made aware when the announcement was made.’
We, as a school, would also like to apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause, but as always, we make this decision with your children’s best intentions at heart.
As we already have an INSET day that week, school will be closed on Monday 5th June and Thursday the 8th June and open on Tuesday the 6th, Wednesday the 7th and Friday the 9th June 2017.
