TKAT Games 2017
Children in Year 5 and 6 have been chosen to represent Gray’s Farm in an athletics competition on Monday 19th June at Saracens Rugby Ground, Allianz Park, North London. This is part of the TKAT (our academy sponsor) Games and there will be other TKAT primary academies at the event.
Selected children will be taking part in the following events:
Sprint / Relay / Javelin / Boccia / Chest Pass / Speed Bounce / Long Jump / Sergeant Jump
If your child has been selected to take part in any of the other events, you will have recieved a letter yesterday afternoon.
If your child is not be competing in any events however we wish to take all year 5 pupils, whether they are competing or not, to support the school. There will be plenty for them to do as there are musical and sporting workshops to attend throughout the day.
Children will need to arrive at school for 7:45am and we will be returning at approximately 5:30pm. We will be travelling by coach and there will be no charge for this event. Unfortunately, we will not be able to wait for your child if they are late.
We will provide school polo tops for the children but could we ask that you please provide black shorts and white socks. Suitable footwear such as astro trainers or running shoes will also need to be worn.
This is a long day so children will need enough food and water to last them – no fizzy drinks or items containing nuts please. We’re also asking that you provide your child with sun cream, a sun hat and, depending on the weather, some waterproof clothing.
Please return the reply slip that went home to the school by Thursday 15th June at the latest.
