Moving into Year 5 and 6
A very exciting opportunity has become available at school and we would like to invite you along to a series of friendly, informal, but informative training sessions at school. The sessions will be organised and delivered by teachers from KS2 and will run over three weeks. The sessions will run at 2:30pm-3:15pm. The following topics will be covered:
Wednesday 28th June – Reading
Wednesday 5th July – SpaG (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar) / Writing
Wednesday 12th July – Maths
This is a great opportunity for you to understand how we teach your child at school and how you can continue to help at home, especially as they prepare to move into upper key stage 2. We promise that the sessions will be non-threatening, non-judgemental and a lot of fun. There will be a ‘goodie’ bag at the end of the course which will include a variety of resources to help you assist your child at home with their learning. Feedback from parents that attended the sessions last year, was very positive and gave them an insight into how they could help their children as they moved into Upper KS2.
There is no cost to attend the course but we ask that you sign up to all three sessions.
Please indicate on the reply slip that went home, your intention to join us and return it to the office by Friday 23rd June.
