Year 5 - Visit from Eagle Heights

As you will already know from our recent topic web, we are learning about Alaska this half term.

On Wednesday 31st January, Eagle Heights will be bringing into school their husky dogs and an Alaskan Bald Eagle. There will be a talk on the animal’s habitats, where they are in the food chain and how they have adapted to their harsh climate.

The children will be able to interact with the huskies, who are very friendly and used to being in the company of children. They will also get a chance to see the Bald Eagle in a flying demonstration.

In order to allow this visit to happen, we are asking for a voluntary contribution of £6.50 per child. Please give your consent and pay via the School Gateway, no later than Monday 22nd January. It is also important to make your child’s teacher aware if they have any allergies associated with dogs or birds.
