World Book Day

There seems to be some confusion about what the children can wear on World Book Day.

World Book Day is a fun day that the school enjoys taking part in each year. It's a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and, most importantly, of reading. In fact, it's the biggest celebration of its kind, designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and marked in over 100 countries all over the world.

The letter that detailed the category for each year group was only a suggestion. As previously stated, dressing up is optional and we would never expect you to have to go out and buy expensive costumes. We would always encourage children to be creative with items that they already have at home.

If you have any concerns, please speak to your class teacher
