Year 6 - Kingswood 2018

We will be leaving on Sunday 20th May at approximately 13:15. All children must arrive at school for 1pm. After our exciting adventures, they will return as confident, enriched and somewhat tired children by roughly 2.15pm on Wednesday 23rd May. Keep your eye on the school website/app for daily updates and a more specific return time (graysfarm-tkat.org).


Activities:

Some of the activities that the children will get to try their hand at include wall climbing, orienteering, high equilibrium, ‘Nightline’ (very muddy!), aerial runway and sky climb as well as ‘Club Kingswood’ and a very entertaining campfire. What to pack:

Please use the following checklist to help pack bags: (please put your child’s name on all items)

 - 1 bath towel
 - Toilet bag containing: toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, hairbrush etc
 - Night clothes
 - Socks and underwear
 - 4 t-shirts/tops (at least 1 with long-sleeves)
 - 1 thick sweater + 1 light sweater
 - 3 pairs of trousers/jeans/tracksuit bottoms
 - Clothes for the Social Sundown (evening entertainment – cinema, campfire)
 - Waterproof jacket (and trousers if you have them)
 - Small rucksack to carry water bottles etc
 - 2 pairs of trainers/sturdy shoes suitable for climbing/mud etc
 - Swimming trunks/costume (no bikinis please) and additional towel
 - Large plastic bag for dirty clothes
 - Water bottle
 - Hat & sunscreen
 - Outfit for ‘Club Kingswood’ party
 - Maximum £15 spending money for tuck/gift shop in named purse/wallet
 - Any required medication in named packaging with clear administration instructions

Please note that most activities require long sleeves and trousers. Children may bring non-electronic games/entertainment (e.g. playing cards, books, magazines etc) for their free time in their rooms before bed.


Please note, do not bring:

Mobile phones, expensive cameras, electronic games, iPods or MP3 players, expensive or much cherished jewellery, expensive favourite clothing or shoes. Kingswood or Gray’s Farm Primary Academy cannot accept liability for the loss, theft or damage of any personal property your child may bring.

An emergency mobile number will be available closer to the time of the trip. This number will get you through to a member of SLT who will contact us at Kingswood if necessary.
