Medication

Graysgenerictwitter

We have had a few instances recently where parents/carers have sent in medication with their child. Any medication needs to be brought to the office by an adult as we hope you can appreciate, children should not be left unsupervised with medicines and this is why we have a locked cabinet for safekeeping.

The school can only administer prescribed medications that need to be taken four times per day – these should be clearly labelled with your child’s name and in their original packaging with dosage instructions. Parents/carers are required to sign a consent form allowing the school to give their child medication – forms are available from the school office when dropping off medicine.

Please note that we cannot administer things like Calpol/paracetamol, cough medicine, hayfever medicine etc so parents/carers would need to come to the school to give these to their child if required during school hours. Thank you.
