Week Beginning 08 October 2018

NURSERY

Parents, this week in nursery the children will continue to work on our topic about Elmer the patchwork Elephant. Through our music and movement sessions children will be exploring how to use their bodies to move like animals.

We shall be looking at patterns and making our own patterns through expressive arts and designs.

On Friday 12th October, we invite the children to come to nursery dressed in bright coloured colours to consolidate all the learning we have done so far.
Thank you to the parents that have uploaded photos on tapestry. we love sharing them with the children

RECEPTION

We have been having a great time learning about people who help us and will continue this week, by finding out all about fire fighters!

We will be helping the fire fighters by reading numbers 1-10 to send them to the houses 'on fire' and will be rescuing some of the letters we have been learning recently - s a t p i n, from the 'flames'. We will also be practicing some fire safety skills, having fun learning to stop, drop & roll so that we can become honorary fire fighters! We also have a scheduled visit from a fire engine before the end of term, but are keeping the day a surprise from the children! Shhh...

We also have parents evening on Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th October. If you would like an appointment and have not yet got one just speak to the teachers in reception! We hope to see you there!
