Year 6 - WW1 & WW2 Visits

As you will know from the topic web you received at the start of term, year 6 are studying WWI and WWII. Therefore, we will be visiting Chislehurst Caves on Thursday 18th October and having the Homefront Bus visit the school on Friday 9th November. The children will experience what it would have been like to shelter from the bombing during WWII in the depths of the caves and board the Homefront Bus to discover daily life in the 1940s.

Lunch: For the Chislehurst Caves trip, please send your child in with a packed lunch in a disposable bag – if your child is entitled to free school meals, you will receive a separate slip for this.

 

Clothing: Children should wear their school uniform along with warm layers and sensible footwear

 

Spending money: Children may bring up to £3 in a named purse/wallet/envelope
