Week Beginning: 26 November 2018

NURSERY

Our new topic this week will be based around the story of "After the Storm" by Nick Butterworth.

We will be talking to the children about the weather, how it changes, what clothes we need to wear to protect us.

We shall explore changes to the seasons, what you could expect to see during Autumn and Winter.

The impact on winter with animals, e.g. squirrels, hedgehogs,  birds, how do they keep warm and feed during winter.

We have seen a rise in parents sharing observations and photos on tapestry, please keep them coming the children like to share this in class.

RECEPTION

In Reception we will be carrying on with our story of the Gingerbread Man! The children will be decorating their own biscuits and writing their own recipes!

We will be carrying on with our learning about estimating in maths and using our counting skills to help us make a good guess!

On Thursday, we are holding our Reception phonics workshop for parents! Please pop in and see how we learn phonics at school to help support your child at home!

You can ask your class teacher at the doors if you need any information about the workshop!

Continue to check tapestry for the wonderful observations we have done on the children!
