Week Beginning: 01 April 2019

NURSERY

We are soon approaching the end of our Spring Term 2. Hopefully if the caterpillars have changed into butterflies we shall be releasing them to the wild.

The children will be very busy all week making their Easter Crafts,  having an Easter Egg Hunt in Forest School and taking part in the Easter Bonnet Parade. Thursday we shall be celebrating International Language Day, the day will be filled with activities, games and songs from around the world. If you can count to 10 in another language why not put this on tapestry so we can share.

As always please keep an eye on the boards for daily updates.

RECEPTION

This week in Reception we will be continuing our learning about the growth of plants and how they change over time. We will also we looking at humans and learning about the different stages as we grow up i.e. baby, child, adult.

For this reason, Reception would like to request if parents could send in a picture of their child as a baby. If you do not have a paper copy, you could send it via email or tapestry. We kindly request if you could get this to the teachers by Monday.

In Maths will be exploring repeating patterns using shapes. The children will be making their own patters and learning how to make it a repetitive pattern. We will also be learning about having numbers up to 10. The children have been successfully doubling numbers. So we will be deepening their knowledge with learning how to half a number.
