Year 6 - PGL Trip Updates
The SATs are over and to "wind down" Year 6 are currently away on a residential trip to a PGL adventure centre in Suffolk called Bawdsey Manor, as you can see from the picture above it's a stunning venue! Over the 4 days the children will be taking part in a numerous of fun but also challenging activities.
Updates for parents on what the children are up to will be posted below and on the school app.
The children have just come over the Dartford Crossing and will be back at school at approximately 3.40pm. The coach will stop at the bus stop on Midfield Way at the junction of Gray's Farm Road and can be collected from here.â
The children are on their way back from PGL. Once we receive confirmation of their expected arrival time we will let you know.
It’s been a very busy morning already tidying our rooms and packing our suitcases full of our dirty washing! We have two more activities to enjoy - a coastal walk followed by a climb.
Today we have all learnt survival skills, zipped repeatedly along a zip wire, developed our aim with a bow and arrow during archery and climbed several rungs up Jacob’s ladder.
Tonight we are all putting on our best clothes for disco night before we attempt to pack our cases.
After a fun filled day yesterday, we all slept soundly and have managed to recharge our batteries for another full day of activities. We’ve had an enjoyable cooked breakfast. To top it off the sun is finally shining.â
It’s been a very busy day.
So far we’ve abseiled, played aeroball, taken part in a sensory trail and been on a giant swing and obviously not forgetting our trip to the site shop.
At the moment we are just getting ready for our evening activity - human Cluedo.
After our first night of ‘sleep’, we have eaten breakfast and are now off for our morning activities.
We have all settled into our rooms and eaten dinner. We are just getting ready for our first activity - PGL Sports Night and then it’s off to bed.
The coach has just arrived at Bawdsey Manor. The children are amazed at how beautiful it is.
