Polling Day - Thursday 7th May 2020
We have been informed that the Greater London Authority Elections will be held on Thursday 7th May 2020. As you are aware, Gray’s Farm Primary Academy is used as a polling station for this area and as such, will be used again for this election. As a result of this, the school will be CLOSED for all children apart from those in Year 6.
With this date being the week before the KS2 SATs (and the children having worked so hard already), we will make arrangements for the Year 6 children to attend school as normal on this day in order to ensure they feel as prepared as possible for the following week. We would like to take the opportunity to assure you that the children will remain entirely separate from the general public that day, but if you have any concerns please speak to a member of the school’s senior leadership team. More information about arrangements for this day will be sent out closer to the time.
We appreciate that this is a closure that we didn’t originally plan for, however we are sure you understand that these circumstances are beyond our control. We apologise for any inconvenience that this closure may cause, but can assure you that we have given you as much notice as possible. May we also take this opportunity to remind you that the school will also be closed on Friday 8th May due to the Bank Holiday.
