Week Beginning: 14 September 2020

NURSERY

We will be focusing on making new friendship groups, learning new routines,  practice turn taking and listening skills. On the board outside our nursery there will be an update of daily activities and focus activities we will be working with the children throughout the week.

RECEPTION

Welcome to another week of Reception!

It has been a pleasure to finally meet your children and get to know them.

This week, we will be continuing to settle in the children by introducing more new routines and giving them tours of the places in the school that they will visit. This includes the field, playground and dining hall. We will also have some special visits from important people in our school including the office staff and senior staff.

We will also begin to introduce the children to their first phonics sounds (m, a, s, d). Maybe you could play I spy at home with these letters? We will be thinking about ourselves and talking about who is in our family.

Please remember that the timings for this week are:

Morning children 8.40 - 11.45

Afternoon children 12.15 - 3.15

If you have any questions or concerns please speak to one of the team on the Reception gate.

Miss Gillies and Miss Wallington would firstly like to say a big, massive well done to all the children for coming into school so well, their good behaviour and their dedication to their learning. We are so impressed and we are really looking forward to the rest of the school year with your child.
