Harvest Festival 2020
As previously advised, we are unable to host events in school at the moment for parents to attend. This year, the children will instead be considering the ‘giving’ side of harvest and exploring the fundamental impact food banks can have for many families. We will be using a short story by Kate Milner titled ’It’s a no money day’ to support the children’s learning.
Once again, we are delighted to be supporting the Bromley Borough Foodbank. We have been nominated as a tomato school and have been asked to donate items such as tinned tomatoes, passata and tomato based sauces e.g. pasta bake/bolognaise/stir in sauces. Please do not send in any fresh produce, as it will perish. A box will be placed by each of the gates every morning from Monday 28th September to Friday 2nd October, if you wish to drop off any donations.
The food that is donated makes a positive difference to poor and needy individuals and families locally. All food donated should be well within date and in its original packaging.
