School Absences
We have noticed that some parents are not calling into school when their children are absent in accordance with the school policy this may mean that there is a possibility that the absence will be unauthorised
Please be reminded of the process for contacting the school when your child is too unwell to attend. Gray’s Farm Primary Academy’s Attendance Policy states:
‘Parents are asked to notify the school by 9.00am on the first day of absence and then provide a letter of explanation on return to school. The school will ring home on the first day of absence if no notification has been received.’ If we do not hear anything after 2 days of absence we will then make a home visit as part of our safeguarding policy.
