Year 4 - Swimming Badges
As you know, the children have been attending swimming for the past 8 weeks at Darrick Wood Swimming Pool. Because of their success rate, all children have been awarded different badges. These are:
- A Puffin Badge - children who are beginning to learn to swim
- A 5m Badge – children that are able to swim up to 5m without a float
- A 10m Badge – children that are able to swim up to 10m without a float
- A 15m Badge – children that are able to swim up to 15m without a float
- A National Curriculum Badge – children that have met the National Curriculum requirements for swimming, including being able to swim 20m without a float, being able to tread water for at least 20 seconds and finally being able to submerge themselves underwater without wearing their goggles.
We are really proud of all of the children’s achievement, whichever badge they achieved, therefore we would like to offer you the opportunity to purchase one of these badges. They are £3 each and come with a certificate.
You will be able to pay for these on the school gateway and these will be given to the children in the next two weeks. Money will need to be paid by Thursday 23rd March 2017 at the very latest so we can pass this information on to Darrick Wood Swimming Pool.
