NURSERY

We shall continue our themes of "under the water". The children will categorise sea creatures based on colour shape and size and use their counting skills to count forward and backwards. Through our music and  movement  sessions we will  learn how different creatures move. Please check the board outside the nursery gate for more updates.

RECEPTION

This week in Reception we are beginning our new topic ‘Castles and Knights’. We will be reading the story ‘Billy and the Dragon’. We will be designing our own dragons and describing them as well as drawing story maps. We will also be using characters to retell our own stories and write them. In Maths we are exploring doubling and halving facts and learning to recall them.

In Maths the children will be consolidating their knowledge on finding halves and quarters of shapes and groups of objects.

In English they will be looking at fairy tale story openers such as 'Once upon a time', 'In a land far, far away'.
