Staffing from September

Graysgeneric

I would like to say a big thank you to parents for all the support that you have given us this year. It has not been the easiest year, yet your continued support and help with regards to Covid restrictions and government guidelines has ensured that Gray’s Farm Primary has been able to stay open for all our children this term. I'm sure you will agree, we are all looking forward to some normality when we return in September (hopefully).

I would also like to take this opportunity to bid a few farewells to members of staff who will be leaving us this year.

The closing of one door and the opening of another, Mrs Burgham has made the tough decision to start her retirement this year and will be leaving us to look after her grandchildren which she is very much looking forward to. Mrs Burgham has taught at Grays Farm Primary for 26 years. Mrs Burgham has made such an impact at our school and has been, for many, one of the first smiley faces you see at Gray's Farm. She's been a fantastic teacher and will be sorely missed by our community.

Another important person who will be leaving us this year is Mr Whiting. Mr Whiting has been the premises manager at Gray’s Farm Primary for 26 years also and he too will be leaving us to finally spend his well earned retirement on the golf course! We thank Mr Whiting for all his hard work in ensuring that the premises and health and safety of the school is exemplary for our children.

And finally, we wish Miss Pearn all the best luck in her new school and wish her every success for the future.

Saying goodbye also means that we get to say welcome to a few new faces around the school. Mr Plummer will be starting with us in September as the new Premises manager; we also welcome Mrs O’Driscoll as our new Reception teacher and Mrs Elsworth will be joining us in Reception as an ISA. We hope that they will enjoy their time with us.

We are very lucky this year to have 3 SCITT students who will also be supporting in classrooms this year. We welcome Miss Jacobs (1 Rowan), Miss Clifford (5 Juniper) and Mrs Martin (2 Hazel) to Gray’s Farm and wish them every success for the year ahead.

We also wish Miss Taylor congratulations, as she will finally be getting married over the Summer after having to cancel her wedding a number of times due to Covid. When Miss Taylor returns in September her new name will be Mrs Springate.

Wishing everyone a wonderful Summer and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone back on the 2nd September 2021.

Yours Sincerely,

Mrs K Osborne
