Attendance - Cray Wanderers Football Club
After the success of our attendance raffle at the end of the summer term, we are delighted to announce that, in partnership with Cray Wanderers Football Club, we will be holding a fortnightly draw for 5 children to each win a pair of football tickets!
Cray Wanderers have kindly agreed to donate 10 tickets for each of their home matches, which are currently being played at Bromley Football Club until their permanent home is completed at Flamingo Park. Each child who is in school every day and on time for the two week period prior to the draw, will be entered in to a random name generator for a chance to obtain a pair of tickets. There are 13 home games scheduled between now and the end of the academic year, so there are plenty of opportunities to win.
As outlined in our attendance policy, ‘there is a very high correlation between attendance at school and pupil progress and attainment. As a consequence, it is vital that all children attend school on a regular basis so that they receive the education to which they are entitled. This ensures that children have the very best opportunities available to them in later life. A single day of schooling missed each week over their school lives mounts up to two full school years missed by the time they reach the end of their secondary education.’ We understand that on occasion, absence from school is unavoidable, however good attendance (as set out by the Government) is classed as 96% and above.
Each draw will take place on a Friday of the week before match day. The next game is scheduled for Saturday 27th November against Leatherhead, so the draw will take place on 19th November and will cover the attendance period between 8th – 19th November; draws will then take place as follows:
