Year 2 Octopus Investigation

Last week Year 2 spent an afternoon investigating an octopus's body!

We explored the different features of it's body, including its eye, tentacles, suckers and siphon, (the hole underneath the octopus). We described its colours and patterns and why these are useful to an octopus's survival.

The children had a chance to touch the octopus and describe what it felt like - it was very cold and slimy!

We had a LOT of fun and we learnt so many interesting facts!
