'Express Yourself' Day

Expressyourself

Next Thursday 20th January, Gray’s Farm will be inviting children to celebrate their individuality by ‘expressing themselves’ in a variety of different ways.

Diversity and representation are extremely important to us as a school, and we would like to recognise this by allowing our pupils to express who they are by creating their own ensembles. Pupils can dress in their own attire, head to toe, with the only rule being that no offensive items of clothing should be worn. As always, the more fun, colourful and wacky, the better! However, there is no pressure to participate, as we understand that some children feel more comfortable in uniform and this is how they convey their personalities.

In addition to various planned activities throughout the day, we will be incorporating our ‘express yourself’ theme in to lunchtime. On the menu, we will have burgers (both beef and veggie), as well as the firm favourite of jacket potatoes. Children will have the opportunity to ‘build their own’, with numerous different toppings available, including our delicious, healthy salad bar. This will be rounded off with a milkshake factory, where children will be able to devise their own delectable treat – yum! If you’d like your child to partake in this special lunch and they’re not entitled to free school meals, please pay the £2.20 charge via School Gateway.

We are proud of each and every one of our pupils, and how no two children are the same. We can’t wait to see what they come up with and look forward to sharing pictures of the day with you on our usual platforms. We thank you for your ongoing support and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to speak with a member of staff.
