They will be learning the National Anthem along with a song from our chosen decade of the last 70 years. The week will finish with a dress up day (nee the letter sent home from the school office) and a picnic on the field.

YEAR 1

In English, we are going to look at the story of the Queen's Knickers. We will design our own knickers/pants and describe it using adjectives and noun phrases. We will also write a missing poster looking for the lost knickers/pants.

Towards the end of the week, we are going to look at one of the Commonwealth countries and its features.

In Maths, we are going to tell and read the time to an hour and half past. We will also be drawing the hands (hour and minute) to represent o'clock and half past. We will be discussing the meaning of the terms: quick, slow, quickest and slowest.

With regards to the Jubilee celebrations: we will be spending the afternoons painting a portrait of the Queen using printing, looking at what happened to the Queen that was significant in an era (between 2000 and 2010), singing songs, learning a dance and many more.

We've made it to the final week! Here is what we're doing to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's Jubilee:
