NURSERY

This week in nursery we shall continue our topic from the Colour Monster Story. In maths children will be collecting things from the classroom and sorting them by colour. They will be painting their own representation of the Colour Monster and retelling the story in their own way. We shall also use our Colour Monster puppets to show or tell how we are feeling and exploring ways of keeping our minds happy and healthy.

RECEPTION

In Reception this week the children are starting a new topic around Minibeasts! They will be starting to find out all about them and drawing a picture of their favourite one. They will also be trying to label parts that they know.

In Maths, the children will be looking at the number 4 and how it can be made. They will be deciding if a quantity or object is '4 or not 4'.

In phonics, the children will be learning the sounds i, n, p, g, o. Please help them to practice these sounds at home. Thank you.

We are looking forward to finishing Mary Poppins in our English lessons and will be using emotive language to write an informal letter.

In geography, we are continuing with our work around time zones and we are comparing the life cycles of different animals in science.
