This week at Gray's Farm - W/B 18th May

Week beginning: 18th May
Nursery
This week in Nursery we are following the children’s curiosity straight up the beanstalk! We will be reading the classic tale of Jack and the Beanstalk, using the story to spark our imaginations.
To bring the magic to life, the children will be planting their own beans in jars. This allows them to observe the fascinating germination process up close. As our sprouts grow, we’ll be practicing our early math skills by measuring their height to see whose beanstalk is reaching for the giant first!
Reception
This week, the children will be learning about animals, their habitats, and their young. This will help develop the children's curiosity about the natural world while supporting key areas of learning across the curriculum. On Thursday during our farm trip we will be experiencing first hand how animals are cared for.
In maths we will continue to work on number patterns within 20.
On Friday, we will be having a visit from the Fire Services, unless they get a call out again to talk to the children about their role and what to do in the event of a fire.
