Week beginning: 1st June

Nursery

After half-term, our nursery topic will be Pirates! The children will start by exploring whether their boats sink or float, before experimenting with the properties of other materials. We will also be practicing our maths by counting out pieces of gold to match quantities to numerals, and going on an exciting treasure hunt.

Reception

In Reception Classes we will be exploring minibeasts, it is a wonderful topic and encourages curiosity, excitement and hands-on learning about the natural world. Our topic will provide memorable learning experiences that inspire our children to become confident and enthusiastic learners.

In maths we will be looking at number patterns above 20 such as estimating a number of objects and checking by counting, Solve practical problems that involve combining groups of 2, 5 or 10, or sharing into equal groups and counting reliably to 50.

A reminder that we have class photos on Tuesday 2nd June.
