Welcome from the Headteacher

Welcome to the Gray’s Farm Primary Academy website

Robert BRADLEY

At Gray’s Farm our purpose is to grow lifelong learners. Gray’s Farm is a school which firmly puts the child at the centre of everything that we do. We believe that our children deserve the very best so we all work hard to be the best that we can be. We are a school with extraordinary ambition and a passion for life, learning and laughter.

Our vision is to provide a safe space for children to be well rounded, resilient and reflective learners, who achieve their goals by working hard and are prepared for future challenges.

In school we believe that all children (and staff) can succeed by following our culture of being kind, being your best, being safe and being ready to learn. We believe strongly in inclusion and equality and that every child should be able to access every aspect of school life as fully as possible. We therefore provide an SEN-friendly learning environment throughout the school, ensuring (as much as possible) that barriers to learning are removed or reduced. We do not like to see any child disadvantaged, resulting in diminished learning opportunities and therefore work closely with children and families to remove any potential barriers and ensure that there is an equity of experience and opportunity through precise planning and liaison.

We see every child as an individual within the community and we have high expectations of behaviour, of effort and of parental support, both for their own children and for the school. It is important to us that the children are happy, confident, resilient and enjoy their learning; making the most of all the opportunities we have to offer. We have developed a wider curriculum that is creative, inclusive and exciting. It provides children with a broad range of learning experiences which seek to nurture talents and acquire new skills in a hands-on and engaging way. It is our aim for all children to have a deeper understanding of the world around them and to become responsible, caring citizens of the future by knowing more and remembering more. We ensure that all learning is purposeful and linked to children's own experiences so they are engaged, challenged and become highly effective problem solvers and communicators.

At Gray’s Farm we value the partnership between home and school and parents and carers are encouraged to discuss any concerns or worries they may have with the school. The happiness, well-being and success of every child are of utmost importance to us and it is only through a supportive partnership between child, parent and school that we can achieve this. While we always strive for the highest standards, occasionally we don’t get it quite right - but we always listen, consider, reflect and strive to improve.
Gray’s Farm is proud to be a part of TKAT Multi Academy Trust. The Trust consists of 30 Primary schools and 15 Secondary schools who work closely in partnership together for the benefit of all of our children.

Thank you for taking the time to look at our website. I hope it can give you a flavour of our school, but we would be very happy for you to visit - our children are our best ambassadors and would love to show off their school.
