Punctuality

At Gray’s Farm Primary Academy we pride ourselves on our improved journey with attendance, which has certainly helped towards our GOOD Ofsted, and could not have been achieved without the support of the parents.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those parents, who arrive on time every day, park respectfully and ensure that they always support the school and its neighbours.  However, disappointingly, last week we had 24 children who arrived late for school and this week, we have had even more so far at 27.

This is simply not acceptable and disrupts both your child’s learning and the learning of the other children. In addition, children who are continually late have actually told us that they find it embarrassing and stressful. It is your responsibility to ensure that you leave enough time to travel to get your children into school by 8.55am, at the latest.

If your children are continually late and you live nearer to other schools, we would encourage you to complete an in-year transfer form for entry to your closest school.  We are more than happy to offer our assistance with completing any forms.

If there is a serious reason why your child is late please contact Kelly Marsh, the Family Worker, who will support you with this.
