School meals price increase

Unfortunately, we are writing to you to inform you that the price of school meals will be increasing.

This increase has been passed on from our catering company due to an increase in the living wage and the rising food costs. The last meal increase we received from our caterers, we didn’t pass onto parents/carers so we could assist with the cost of living as much as we possibly could. However, the school is unable to sustain a further increase without it impacting other things the school needs to buy for your children’s learning.

Although this second increase was effective from 1st September 2022 we will not be increasing the school meal price until 1st January 2023 to limit any inconvenience this may cause as much as we can.

From the 1st January a child’s school meal will be £2.50 per day, which is £12.50 per week.

Payments will still need to be made via the School Gateway and please remember, all meals need to be paid for in advance as the school has a zero debt policy.
