Year 2 Trip to Eltham Palace

This term, Year 2 are learning about palaces and their impact on the local community. We will be visiting Eltham Palace, where we will be able to enjoy the grounds and the house. This could be an amazing experience and we are fortunate to incur no costs for the trip! We will be needing parent helpers. If you want to volunteer, please let us know and we will put all the names in a hat to decide! Due to dates clashing, Year 2’s open afternoon will now be when you come to meet the new Year 3 teachers on Wednesday 19th July, after school.

Date of trip: Monday 17th July 2023

Cost of trip: FREE!

Permission required on School Gateway by: Wednesday 12th July

Time the children are leaving: 9am

Approximate time children will return: 3:20pm

Method of transport: Public bus

Where to pick up your child: Usual Year 2 exit

Special instructions:

ï· Wear full school uniform, however more comfortable shoes will be permitted

ï· Bring a warm, waterproof coat as we will be walking between venues

ï· Bring a packed lunch and plenty of water to drink (this should be in a disposable plastic bag to throw away afterwards)

ï· Children do not need to bring any spending money
