After School Clubs - Spring 2018

Schoolclubs

All clubs finished at the end of last term and the new list of clubs we will be running for the whole of the spring term are detailed HERE.

From the 5th to the 10th of January, you will have a chance to select a club for your child. All school clubs will have to be selected via the School Gateway. After the 10th January, You will receive a text confirming which club your child has been allocated.

If you are not registered for the School Gateway, please contact a member of the office staff and they will be happy to help you. All clubs will be on a first come first served basis, so it is really important that you have access to the School Gateway.

Clubs will commence the week starting Monday 15th January and will end on Friday 23rd March. Once your child’s place has been confirmed on a club, they will be expected to attend for the whole term.

As there are a limited number of places for each club, please only select one club, this will allow for places to be distributed fairly. If more than one club is chosen, only your first choice will count.

Preference will be given to children who;

  • Have an attendance percentage above 95%
  • Continually arrive to school by 8.55am
  • Are up to date with dinner money/breakfast club/after school club payments
  • Continually follow the behaviour policy
  • Have been picked up on time when attending previous clubs

Due to safeguarding, parents will not be permitted to wait on school grounds for after school clubs to finish. Parents will be expected to wait outside the main gate until five minutes before their child’s club ends.

Please remind yourself of our after school club policy below:

After school club policy

  • Once a place on the club is accepted, your child has made a commitment to attend regularly
  • If your child misses two sessions, their place will be allocated to another child
  • Parents/Carers are obliged to collect their child promptly from the allocated pick up point at the end of each club
  • If your child is continually picked up late, it will result in them having to leave the club
  • Please make sure you are aware what procedures are in place if your child’s club is affected by bad weather. Knowing this, will avoid unnecessary telephone calls to the school office
