Easter Service and Bonnet Parade
This year, we will be returning to St Barnabas Church (Rushet Road, Orpington, BR5 2PU) for our Easter service! The whole school will be attending the service on the morning of Wednesday 29th March and will be taking part in the Easter story, as well as singing Easter songs. This visit is to broaden their knowledge of how Christians celebrate Easter and to experience a church service for themselves.
Using the correct adult to child ratio, we will be walking to the church, therefore your child should be in full school uniform and clothes appropriate for the weather. Due to the size of the church, once all the children are seated, there isn't any space for parents to attend. However; parents will be able to join us for the return of our Easter bonnet parade on Friday 31st March!
The parade will take place on the KS1 playground for all children at approximately 9:15am. If your child would like to take part, they need to bring their creations to school on the day (Friday 31st March). This isn't compulsory, but it is always a lovely time together and an opportunity for the children to show off their work! As always, thank you for your continued support and if you have any queries or concerns, please speak with your child’s class teacher.
